On September 14th, we gathered at Possible Futures bookstore to celebrate the release of the first edition of Liberation Live! presents: The Black Box — a powerful collection of writing and artwork co-created by currently incarcerated individuals. The event brought together friends, families, and community members to honor the creativity, resilience, and connection that made this publication possible. Together, attendees addressed and mailed copies of the zine to state representatives, sharing these important voices and images with policymakers and advocating for awareness and change. It was a day filled with reflection, solidarity, and hope — marking the beginning of an ongoing project that bridges distance and uplifts unheard voices.
