The essays featured in “Juvenile (In)Justice: A Special Issue” are a representative sample of men and women who, as teenagers and emerging adults under the age of 26, were sentenced to prison for most—if not all—of their adult lives.
*A zine (short for magazine) is a do-it-yourself publication that emphasizes expression and connection. Zines have no strict rules or aesthetics, and can feature a variety of content from radical political writings and personal stories to experimental art. Zines are often self-published and they prioritize communication over commerce. Description from the Black Zine Fair.
